Go on a quest to discover the differences between prairie, woodland and aquatic ecosystems and how living things basic needs are met in each ecosystem. Challenge your senses as you examine plants, insects, birds, and animal signs. Participate in activities and studies related to the organisms living in the area. The field study will include pond dipping, hiking, exploration, and games.
Condie is located 18 kms northwest of Regina just off of Highway 11. Condie Nature refuge has a prairie creek ecosystem running through the center with thickets of hawthorn and prickly rose growing in the hollows. The resevoir was constructed in 1924 by the CNR (Canadian National Railway) to help provide water for the steam engines travelling through Regina.
