Saskatchewan Animals

Presentation is an introduction to some of the birds and animals who either live permanently in Saskatchewan or spend part of the year in the province.   Information will focus mainly on the physical characteristics of the species.  Depending on the group the discussion could also continue into specific adaptations and behaviours of survival.

Specimens will be brought into the class and will include the following species:

Red Fox White Tailed Jack Rabbit
Mallard Duck Canada Goose
Common Magpie White Tailed Deer
Bison Great Horned Owl
Coyote Lynx
Beaver Western Painted Turtle
Muskrat Plains Garter Snake
Raccoon Black Bear
