Please take note that winter field studies demand more detailed and rigorous planning than do those in the spring and fall. All students must, therefore, be properly dressed for winter trips, even when the weather is comparatively mild. Each field trip theme has a student checklist attachment. If any student arrives unprepared, concern for safety dictates that the field trip may be cancelled. Also, please be aware that winter weather makes risk management in many of our sites more complex than it often is in other seasons, and as a result trips may be cancelled more frequently and on shorter notice.
